Stocks to watch today: The SGX Nifty indicated a muted start on Friday at 17,254 levels by 7:35 a.m., despite strong global cues.
As worries about a banking crisis dissipated overnight, US markets soared globally, encouraging fresh technology stock purchases. The S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite, and Dow Jones all experienced gains of up to 0.7%.
The Nikkei 225, Topix, Kospi, S&P 200, and Hang Seng indices all saw gains of up to 2% in Asia-Pacific markets.

Hero MotoCorp: The two-wheeler company named Niranjan Gupta as its chief executive officer. Gupta, currently the chief financial officer of Hero MotoCorp, was instrumental in building partnerships with Harley Davidson and Zero Motorcycles.
Bharti Airtel: Telecom operator Nxtra Data’s subsidiary Nxtra Data signed agreement to acquire additional 5.4 per cent stake in Avada MH Amaravati for captive power consumption under electricity laws.
Bharat Dynamics: The defense firm has bagged an order worth Rs 8,161 crore from the Defense Ministry for the production and supply of the Akash weapon system to the Indian Army.
Rail Vikas Nigam: The Ministry of Railways awarded the business a Letter of Award (LOA) for the construction and upkeep of the Vande Bharat trainset, which included upgrading government manufacturing facilities and trainset depots.
Mahindra Logistics:With effect from April 1, 2023, the company entered into a business transfer agreement with MLL Express Services (MESPL), a wholly owned subsidiary, for the slump exchange sale or transfer of express network business to MESPL.
